The aquatic biome is divided into 2 categories. Which are freshwater and marine. Rivers, Streams, Lakes and pond come in the category of freshwater. The seas and oceans come in the marine category.

Climate- The climate of the aquatic region depends on its location. Suppose its near the equator then the climate will be hot but if its located at the poles then it is extremely cold and sometimes frozen.
Location- Water is mostly everywhere. It covers one fifth of the Earth’s surface. There is nearly 75% of water on Earth.
Wildlife- You can find many creatures in this biome. This biome has the largest wildlife and biodiversity. There are millions and billions of different types of fishes and there are many more creatures like sea turtles, octopus, squid, whales, oysters, seahorse and there are even a lot of creatures in this biome which are not discovered.
Vegetation- Water lily, duckweed, algae, corals are some of the vegetation or plants found in the aquatic biome. Many small fishes depend on those plants.

- The largest creature in the world is blue whale which lives in the aquatic biome and is 30 metres long in length and it weighs 180 metric tons.
- The pacific ocean is so vast that it covers more area than all land masses in the world combined.
- Less than 5% of the planet’s oceans have been explored.
